A tip when you're texting someone you like

Knowing when it's time to stop sending her text messages (for now).

If you're texting with someone you like, and the questions you ask aren't being met by any questions in response, it's usually a good sign that you should end the conversation (for now).

Example:
You: Hey, what are you up to today?
Her: I'll probably just watch some Netflix
You: Oh cool, what are you going to watch?
Her: I'll probably keep watching Queen's Gambit
You: That's cool. Who's your favourite character?
Her: Ah, not sure. There are a few cool ones.
You: Has it made you want to get into chess?
Them: Kind of. haha.

If this looks similar to some of the text conversations you're having with her, she either isn't interested in you, isn't interested in talking right now or isn't great at talking over text / asking questions while texting in general.

Whatever the reason, you're doing yourself no favours in continuing to let the questions pile up.

Do this instead:
You: Hey, what are you up to today?
Them: I'll probably just watch some Netflix
You: Oh cool, what are you going to watch?
Them: I'll probably keep watching Queen's Gambit
You: Cool. Enjoy!

Also... ‘U?’ Is not much better.

If she responds to all of your questions with a brief response and a ‘U?’ It’s also time to end the conversation.

Example:
You: Hey, what are you up to today?
Them: I'll probably just watch some Netflix, and u?
You: Oh cool, I'm about to hang out with a friend. What are you doing later on?
Them: Nice. Not sure yet, and u?

Be careful of these conversations. While her responses aren't completely dismissive, they’re barely any more enthusiastic than her not asking questions back at all.

Responses like these don’t mean you’re completely down and out; they usually just mean that for the moment, she's not interested in continuing the conversation.

Disclaimer: Some women require a couple of questions to 'come out of their shell' , but three or more unresponded questions is enough to know you're almost certainly flogging a dead horse for now. Politely dismiss yourself from the conversation and give her some space. Distance makes the heart grow fonder.
